and to make an end is to make a beginning

"For last year's words belong to last year's language.
And next year's words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning"
-T.S. Eliot

This is my favorite favorite favorite part!! The shiny New Year. Ripe with possibilities, beginnings, and adventures.

Maybe it's cliché, but I still make resolutions every year. It's quite serious business, you know, and it usually requires sitting down to deliberate with someone with pen and paper in hand--a witness to hold you accountable. I almost always check off every resolution each year, and isn't that just the best feeling? Checking stuff off lists! I know you love it too...

Other than making goals for the future, New Year's gives us the opportunity to look backwards and see how much we've grown, what plans came to fruition and what surprises lead us down uncharted paths.

As you know, I take a ton of pictures. Last night, Richard and I went through and relived our past year together:

Last sunset of 2013 <3 on the beautiful Reunion Island

When you put it all down on paper like that...well life seems pretty freaking amazing in hindsight. Gotta start remembering that on a daily basis...

So. 2014. I'm totally ready. It's gonna be good...I can feel it!!
Here's to a year that will hopefully be full of wild moments, personal growth, and lots of adventure!!
We're all in this together.
